About the Client

The client is a leading government company in the Middle East. With its modern concept, it targets and serves individuals and prominent labour segments of the public and private sectors. The company aims to empower, achieve, and create a positive sustainable change in its country’s labour market and strives to sustain a lasting impact that would benefit society.

One of its prominent roles is to represent the Government institution of which it is a filial daughter, and to achieve its goals to improve and develop the local labour market and the work environment in both government and private institutions benefiting employers, employees, and job-seekers alike.

Discovery

The discovery process for this project is a continuous and iterative approach, due to the nature of the platform’s frequent upgrades and evolving requirements. Stakeholders from the government sector are regularly consulted to identify pain points, user needs, and regulatory requirements.

Feedback loops are established with the client to ensure the services evolve in line with market demands. Additionally, in-depth analysis of current services as well as potential improvements helps in refining services, ensuring they remain relevant and impactful.

Design

The design process is a collaborative effort between our internal designers and a dedicated external design team. While the external team focuses on the overall user experience and aligning the design with brand guidelines, our internal designers take a more hands-on role in conceptualising and developing Proof of Concepts (POCs) for new services and functionalities.

This iterative process involves creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups, followed by testing with key stakeholders and users to validate usability and functionality. Close coordination ensures alignment on design principles while allowing flexibility for innovation in service offerings.

Development

Our development process follows an Agile methodology, primarily using Scrum, but it is tailored to meet the specific needs of each project. Cross-functional teams are composed of key roles including Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, QA engineers, DevOps, Frontend and Backend developers, and Solution Architects.

The process begins with sprint planning, where tasks are prioritised and broken down into manageable increments. Daily standups ensure continuous communication and progress tracking.

Sprints typically last 2 weeks, culminating in reviews and retrospectives. Throughout, teams collaborate closely with stakeholders and the design team, continuously integrating feedback and delivering incremental improvements.

DevOps ensures smooth deployments and continuous integration, while QA ensures quality and performance at every stage of development.

End Result

There are multiple end results including over 10 integrated services with a user base exceeding 10 million, tailored to improve the local labour market and enhance the work environment for government, private sectors, employers, employees, and job-seekers.

These services offer seamless management of work permits, employee profiles, training, violations, and certificates, providing users with intuitive, efficient tools to navigate the labour ecosystem.
