We are looking for a Head of DevOps to take the reins of our growing DevOps team. You will be responsible for shaping, scaling, and governing the infrastructure across all projects and clients, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation across teams. You won’t just be hands-on with tech - you’ll be hands - on with people, processes, and outcomes.
What’s it all about?
- Lead and mentor the DevOps team; promote ownership, accountability, and growth
- Develop and implement scalable infrastructure strategies across multiple projects
- Oversee CI/CD pipeline design and improvements across teams and projects
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of cloud-based systems (primarily but not limited to AWS)
- Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to streamline workflows
- Foster cross-functional communication and resolve conflicts where needed
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and technical innovation
- Maintain visibility into system health and reliability through monitoring, alerting, and reporting
- Lead infrastructure-related incident response and postmortem processes
What do we expect from you?
- Proven experience in a senior DevOps or engineering leadership role
- Deep understanding of AWS services, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Strong background in DevOps tooling (e.g., CircleCI, GitLab, Sentry, DataDog, etc.)
- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting DBs (RDS, Aurora, Redshift, ElastiCache)
- Experience with container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
- Experience building and scaling CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and architecture best practices
- Familiarity with observability stacks (Grafana, ELK, netdata)
- Ability to drive change, encourage ownership, and align tech decisions with business goals
- Excellent people management, mentoring, and conflict resolution skills
And it would be awesome if you have…
- Some experience in application development
- Knowledge of the TDD methodology
- Ability to maintain Bash, Go, Ruby & Python scripts is a bonus
