Last week we had Java Script Meetup in our Zagreb oice.

It was a full house of inquisitive minds.

Matija Marohnić held the first talk,  and the subject was “React Hooks”

“I’ll start by explaining how we used to solve problems like managing internal state and adding side-eects, and how we can significantly simplify our code with hooks. I’ll also talk about how to correctly optimize performance and avoid common pitfalls. Finally, I’ll touch on some controversies around class components and hooks.”

Ante Tomić was next with the topic “Introduction to modern Web development with Webpack 4”

“Are you familiar with developing apps and having to be careful to “include that script before your own because the application won’t work”? Or have you ever used Webpack or similar solutions and wondered how they work? Here we will explore the concepts necessary to build an application form no setup code to the most common Webpack concepts. We will also see how Webpack relates to the other popular solutions like Parcel or task runners such as Gulp or Grunt, and say a few words about Webpack 5 and what is next to come.”
