We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales (m/f) to lead our sales team and drive our business forward.

Role Overview:

As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for both the operational and strategic aspects of our sales efforts. From developing and executing sales strategies to managing team performance, fostering client relationships and improving sales processes. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and achieving our business objectives.


Operational and Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's business goals and objectives

  • Establish and promote sales best practices, including pitch techniques, opportunity management, and account management

  • Building strong relationships with key clients and partners

  • Provide strategic input on internal projects, offering feedback and insights to support cross-functional collaboration

  • Develop and enforce policies, standards, and processes to streamline sales operations

  • Set and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales performance and drive continuous improvement

  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication

  • Oversee lead generation activities, both inbound and outbound, to maximize sales volume

  • Forecast sales volumes and provide regular updates to senior management

Team Management:

  • Supervise and mentor direct reports and sales teams to ensure high performance and alignment with company goals

  • Implement and monitor performance management processes, including setting team targets, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews

  • Lead the sales team in achieving sales targets and objectives in line with company goals

  • Foster a culture of motivation, communication, and collaboration within the team

  • Manage the education budget and create individual education plans for team members to support their professional development

  • Conduct feedback and performance reviews, and facilitate continuous improvement

  • Manage team resources, including onboarding, offboarding, and resourcing needs

  • Promote collaboration within the sales vertical and across different departments or verticals

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Manage salaries, raises, and bonuses for the sales team

  • Budget and oversee the sales team budget, including tools, salaries, licenses, and other expenses

  • Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance and key metrics

  • Prepare monthly management reports to track progress against goals

What do we expect from you?

  • 10+ years of experience in Sales/Account Management with an extensive experience in leadership roles

  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably in the software development or IT services industry

  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving revenue growth

  • Strong understanding of sales processes, strategies, and best practices

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to set and track KPIs and metrics

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align sales activities with overall business objectives

  • Strong “will do” attitude and a global mindset

  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation

  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
