About the Client

Our client is a refining and energy trading joint venture between two major global corporations in the oil industry. They are a young and ambitious company with a dynamic approach to business and a strong drive for sustainable growth.

Their highly experienced teams trade a comprehensive range of energy products, supported by a network of professional teams across the globe, enabling their customers to benefit from their ability to leverage shareholders’ global network.

Trading is carried out by three divisions: crude, refined products, and power & emissions.

Strategically located refineries represent some of Europe’s longest standing crude oil refineries. Refineries supply fuel to local as well as international markets. Between them, the two refineries process hundreds of thousands of barrels of crude oil per day.

Discovery

There was no discovery held with the client, as Q provided a software developer as a team augmentation partner.

Design

Q was not involved in any of design tasks. Software development was the only task completed from Q’s side.

Development

Full stack development was needed. From architecture of small components to the development of the same ones and BAU tasks. There were a variety of them, such as reports, stored procedures, queries etc.

End result

Automatization of user processes.
