Getting to know Q

A relaxed 30-minute intro call with one of our Talent Acquisition Specialists.
We’ll get to know you, your experience, and what you’re looking for, and you’ll get a feel for who we are and what we’re building.


Evaluation*

Depending on the role, this step may include a take-home assignment tailored to your expertise, nothing generic, just something that reflects real work.


Q Tech Call

A deeper dive into your technical knowledge with an Engineering Lead or Senior Engineer. Think of it as a conversation, not an interrogation.


Client evaluation*

Since we work closely with our clients, they’re part of the process too.
This step usually includes one or two conversations directly with them.


Feedback

Feedback is an integral part of our culture. You’ll get clear, honest feedback at every stage, no matter the outcome.

*Depending on the selection process, you may either be assigned a task or proceed directly to the client evaluation call.

Do you offer remote working?

Q is a remote-first company. However, we also have an office located in Zagreb, where all employees are welcome. Ultimately, you are free to choose your preferred working arrangement, whether it’s on-site, fully remote, or hybrid.


Is there an opportunity to switch between projects?

Yes! While many of our projects are long-term, we understand that, at times, a project change is necessary to improve motivation and foster growth in new areas.


What happens if my project ends?

If your project ends, you will be reassigned to a new project as soon as possible. If it happens that you have some time between projects, we usually assign you to an internal project to improve your skillset.


Do you work with the latest technologies?

We strive to incorporate the latest technologies into our projects. However, we ensure that all technologies are thoroughly researched and vetted before implementation to guarantee their suitability.


What’s next after a senior role?

Senior employees can pursue two paths — the Principal role, focusing on tech expertise and strategic development, or the Center of Excellence role, emphasizing innovation, client engagement, and mentorship. Leadership roles are also an option.
